“In 2015, the World Health Organization found that processed meats such as bacon and sausage were known carcinogens linked to cancer. Bacon is an incredibly rich and fatty food with a high salt content, which can prove to be too much for a dog’s stomach to handle. Eating a large amount can cause pancreatitis, which can be fatal.” [http://www.akc.org/expert-advice/nutrition/natural-foods/can-dogs-eat-pork/]”
The consensus, however, is to play it safe and start with a very low dosage (3mg or lower). Stick with this regimen for a week or longer to see if you notice a difference in your dog. If he’s not showing improvements, then you can up the dosage — as long as your vet gives it a nod. Keep in mind that your dog’s weight is a major factor in how much of any supplement you should give. Per the treat bag, King Kanine says that one cookie is equivalent to 3 ml of 150mg CBD oil. So, according to its dosage chart, King Kanine recommends a 75 lb dog be given 1 a treat per day for health and immunity support as well as for mild anxiety, nausea or vomiting and pain from injury, surgery, hip dysplasia, etc. The same weight dog can have up to 2 treats per day for severe pain, cancers and epilepsy. The dosage for your dog will depend on its size and the severity of the condition being treated or managed (dosage info is included on the back of the treat bag and it is per day).

More than 70 years ago, in a little shop in London an electrician named James Spratt conducted experiments which led to the production of Spratt's Patent—a scientifically blended dog food. It was the first attempt to lift the dog out of the class of scavenger which he had occupied from caveman times. The market was untouched, and in those early days, Spratt's Patent secured a bull-dog grip on it that it has never relinquished, despite the fact that in the past seventy years many competitors have tried to wrest the leadership from them. We tried the Blueberry version of this product (3 mg each) and the 150 mg CBD oil for free in exchange for an unbiased review. Our dog has advanced hip and back arthritis. While she loved the fish oil mixed with the CBD oil, she is an even bigger fan of the treats! It is also not as messy (the owner’s fingers smelled of fish oil after each dose of the oil) and a lot more fun to give a treat than to try to squirt a vial of oil into a dog’s mouth!
Now as a parent of two teenagers, she’s made sure to raise her daughters to learn how to love and care for pets (and other animals) in the most responsible and loving ways. As a result, she and her daughters now have 5 rescued dogs and cats who essentially rule their home! Sally has also volunteered over the years to help raise funds for various animal nonprofit organizations.

Dog breeds are usually categorized by the functional type from which the breed was developed. The basic types are companion dogs, guard dogs, hunting dogs, herding dogs and working dogs. Breeds listed here may be traditional breeds with long histories as registered breeds, rare breeds with their own registries, or new breeds that may still be under development. In some cases, a breed's origin overlaps the boundaries of two or more countries; the dog is normally listed only in the country with which it is most commonly associated; for example, by its designated country according to the Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI). Some dogs, such as the Löwchen, have an uncertain origin and are thus listed under several countries.
